It has been designed with the needs and lifestyles of modern consumers in mind: people who care about life quality, strive to explore the world, value convenience, try new things, look for exciting experiences. A place where global brands and trends intertwine with local products and a cosy atmosphere for meetings and chats while having coffee or comfortably working with a laptop. Posnania’s Amphitheatre, Forum and Rotunda are places designed for concerts, shows and cultural events, as well as entertainment and meetings with friends and family. Posnania will inspire and encourage spending time actively (movies, fitness club, swimming pool, ice rink), while six kilometres of newly-built bike paths will connect the Rataje roundabout with the city centre. The surrounding green areas and numerous enhancements for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as convenient car parking, make Posnania a friendly and integrating place.

Carrefour is recruiting via the Posnania Jobs Platform

19.08.2016

Interview with Marcin Nadrowski, director of the Carrefour hypermarket. Why did Carrefour decide to recruit its employees via Posnania Jobs Platform? In the new Carrefour hypermarket in the Posnania Centre we are planning to employ around 200 people in various positions: from cashiers, through bakers and section managers, to logistics or administration specialists. This is a substantial challenge – due to the demanding commercial industry and the complex labour market in Poznań and surrounding areas. For this reason, we are using diverse recruitment tools. Posnania Jobs Platform is an intuitive tool for candidates, which facilitates the application process. First and foremost, the platform streamlines the recruitment process – all applications are sent to one place, which offers a transparent image of the situation in the local labour market. Posnania Jobs Platform enables us also to evaluate the specific situation in the province and better adapt to needs. You are one of the largest private employers in Poland. You employ nearly 16,000 people in over 700 shops. What challenges in the area of human resources management must be met by such a large brand? Operating on such a scale in the area of human capital management requires consistency and flexibility, because the situation is different in each region. In practice, many decisions – also in the human resources area – are made locally. With regard to recruitment activities, we cooperate with trade organisations, schools, or Job Centres. Particularly in the case of smaller towns, we are often the largest employer in the area. What is important, we offer a clear development path for employees in operating positions, but employment in Carrefour also constitutes a challenge for managers and specialists. We are looking for new channels of communication with potential employees, this is why the platform initiated by Apsys constitutes for us another method of reaching a specific audience in Wielkopolska and Poznań. So what added value is provided by Posnania Jobs Platform in connection with the demanding situation in the labour market? The platform has supported the process of recruitment for the modern Carrefour hypermarket, which is just being opened and which will be one of the largest shops in Posnania. It is a tool thanks to which in one place you can quickly find the position interesting for the given person, appropriate for their qualifications and interests. This offers an extensive field for development for employees and makes the recruiters’ work easier. Persons interested in placing job offers on the platform should contact the administrator – Joanna Patulska, jobs@posnania.eu mobile: +48 508 016 833

Retail and design in Posnania

19.08.2016

Besides the highest quality commercial and entertainment outlets, Posnania will also provide visitors with specially arranged urban space. Its potential has been used by the multi-award-winning Polish photographer, Szymon Brodziak, creating a photo shoot entitled “In Posnania”, which received a bronze medal at Prix de la Photographie Paris 2016. The awarded work was created on the Posnania building site with the participation of dancers from the Poznań Ballet School and the Grand Theatre in Poznań. The use of Posnania’s space for the photographic project is not the only such cooperation. Poznań industrial design artists – Dorota Koziara and Tomasz Augustyniak – were also invited to cooperate. They designed the “Posnania Scene”, a piece of unique urban furniture composed of horizontally placed concrete slabs and wood. The installation will be the main element of the 135-metre promenade leading from the Rataje Roundabout to Posnania. Dorota Koziara comments: “I’m happy that such initiatives come into existence in Poznań, a city which aspires to the title of the Polish capital of design. When designing the “Posnania Scene”, we had the opportunity to participate in creating a very interesting public space. Besides the “Posnania Scene”, it will include a lot of greenery, paths for cyclists, and a structure for installing open-air art exhibitions. The first one may be viewed at the opening of Posnania. The exhibition of black-and-white photographs by Szymon Brodziak from the award-winning cycle “In Posnania” will precede the inauguration of the investment. The location is to attract visitors also thanks to its extensive catering offer. The square in front of the entrance to Posnania will be filled by an uplit fountain and gardens of numerous cafés and restaurants with Polish and international cuisine. Above, on the first floor, the so-called “food court” will be located, with tables seating 700 people, as will a viewing terrace. The restaurant offer will be enriched by free-standing food trucks on the square and on the promenade leading to the Rataje Roundabout.

Gravitacja entertainment centre enters Wielkopolska and Posnania

12.07.2016

Interview with Michał Świerz, founder of Gravitacja Gravitacja Entertainment Centre attracts considerable interest in Katowice and Jaworzno, so why did you choose Wielkopolska and Posnania this time? “Poznań is the capital of Wielkopolska and a very large student centre, a city which combines business and culture, creating excellent conditions for development, recreation and entertainment for its inhabitants. The location and its character is also very important. Posnania itself will be an original centre, most likely bringing together the most fashionable brands available on our market. This will make it a top location for residents, not only for shopping, but also for recreation and entertainment, which today are the biggest attraction.” What attractions may Posnania’s customers who visit Gravitacja expect? “Our offer will include 12 top quality bowling lanes, as well as pool tables and conference halls companies will be happy to use. Customers will have a music club with events and concerts, and a fan zone for sports fans. There will also be a cocktail bar and great snacks for the most discerning customers.” The entertainment centre market is more and more saturated, how do you manage to stand out? “We rely on the complementary nature of services. Our facilities are designed in a way that is friendly to all age groups. Parents organise birthday parties for their children on our premises, young people come to karaoke, grown-ups to parties, and companies organise conferences combined with ten-pin bowling. We also rely on design which stands out against our competitors due to the use of modern lighting technology, adapted to different modes of operation of the entertainment centre – by day and by night.” How are you planning to develop your business in the coming years? “In the nearest future we are planning to expand our portfolio by several entertainment centres. Agreements are still being negotiated. I can only say that these are cities with a population exceeding 100,000 inhabitants. Our objective is to create a chain which will be composed of 15–20 entertainment centres in the next few years.”

Interior decoration is underway

12.07.2016

Lessees have taken over 65% of the space, 90% of the external elevation of the building has been completed and the final stage of installation of suspended ceilings and lighting in Posnania has commenced. The grand opening is to take place already in October, as planned. The Posnania Centre structure is nearly finished. In less than a month the installation of the elevation will be completed, and by mid-June all installations will be put into operation. The most intensive work is currently being carried out inside the building, where finishing works are underway. Already 65% of the leased area of premises has been handed over to lessees. So far, among others, the following large customers have already taken over their space: Carrefour, Leroy Merlin, Helios and Van Graaf. Glass, crystal and interior design at Posnania Intensive work connected with the laying of marble floors is continuing inside the building. The most spectacular elements are installed in the very heart of the facility – the so-called Forum. Another characteristic element is the largest crystal lighting installation in Poland. It is made of glass tubes, each 1.5 m long, which will be lit up with RGBW light. The total area of the installation is 260 m2.

The façade of Posnania has been completed in 100 percent. 97 percent of GLA handed over to tenants.

19.08.2016

Last month, the work on the glass elevation of Posnania, with the total area of 2,000 m2, was completed. The suspended ceilings and lighting are also ready. The last of marble floor slabs are currently being laid, and intensive work is being carried out inside the building where tenants have already took over 97 percent of the space. The fire protection system has been commissioned, and bathrooms are also being finished. Main Square Several weeks before the planned opening of the Posnania Centre, the most intensive work is being carried out outside the building – installation of external benches, the uplit fountain and the terrace. Adaptation of the square in front of the main entrance to the building is an integral part of the Posnania project. The place is to become an important location on the map of Poznań meetings. Besides the extended commercial offer, numerous cafés and restaurants will attract visitors to Posnania. The square in front of the main entrance will be filled with restaurant gardens, and in winter – an ice-skating rink will be organised there.
